The video took over 6 months to create and is a combination of 2D and 3D computer animation.  The most interesting thing for me was to see the bands ideas (and story that Chad had told me so long ago) actually come to life.  I was lucky enough to see rough sketches and versions of the process along the way and it is unbelievable the time and effort everyone put into this project.  In my opinion Rune captured the Metal City and the characters the way HTV had envisioned it.  Unfortunately I can’t share any of the images or video stills until it is officially released this year.

After the presentation we all went to eat at the 50’s Diner, which tasted like they heated up the food from the ’50’s.  I was not a fan, but the company and discussion we had was worth it.  I love seeing Darryl and Wyn Ihi guys!)  And then Kristin and I dropped the boys off for a meeting and went back to the city to get relax and get ready before their show that night.

Back at the college the show started off with the first screening of the finished music video.  It looks so great I wish you could see it!  Then HTV played a wicked set including 3 new songs, Look Ma No Head (below), Downfall and Deathmaster Snitch.  There were a whole bunch of friends and family out at the show and we had a great time.

I skipped out on the after party at Mod Club and got a ride home with Mom, but from what I hear it was a blast.

It was so awesome!  We walked in the doors and immediately got in line for beer.

It only takes two of these for me to be drunky.

We got there halfway through Rancid’s set, which sucked, but at least we go to hear about six songs.  St Alvia’s Cartel opened the night and we missed them completely.

We bumped into two of our friends Jess and April and the four of us crammed into our two seats to watch.

Rise Against was freakin’ awesome.  I saw them at Sound Academy but this show was way better.  We had great seats too.

After the show the four of us crammed into Jess’ Smart Car and headed to Tattoo to see our friend DJ Dwight.

April I I were in the back sitting on a ledge and hiding from anyone that might want to get us in trouble for putting four girls into a two person car.  It was my first time in a Smart Car and it was actually quite roomy.   I’m def thinking about getting a car soon and it might be a good idea.

We got out of the car in an alley and there were a bunch of people watching us and laughing.  It looked like clown car, so funny.  Then April posed in front of this very roomy classic car.  I can’t remember what it was, but it was cool.

Bryan was really great at this show.  He was definitely creeping me out.

Their set was so good.  The crowd loved them!  My sis and I rocked out so hard and everyone around us was freaking out

Tryg (sp?) from Fall From Grace.  He was on stage for Hail The Villians last song “Social Graces”.  It was awesome.  We made friends at the show.  Cool guy.  Here he is with Drew and aren’t they cute wearing each others band shirts on stage.

Kristin and I with Tryg.  By this point we were pretty buzzy.  Notice I’m giving deuces in LA.  Apparently its a gang sign there, so it was retired, and here I am throwin’ it up.  Yeah.  Awesome.

After this Chad told me I wanted more drinks and he told me I didn’t need any.  Then I said I wasn’t even drunk and tripped  and almost fell.  Time to go back to the hotel and goodnight!
