The video took over 6 months to create and is a combination of 2D and 3D computer animation.  The most interesting thing for me was to see the bands ideas (and story that Chad had told me so long ago) actually come to life.  I was lucky enough to see rough sketches and versions of the process along the way and it is unbelievable the time and effort everyone put into this project.  In my opinion Rune captured the Metal City and the characters the way HTV had envisioned it.  Unfortunately I can’t share any of the images or video stills until it is officially released this year.

After the presentation we all went to eat at the 50’s Diner, which tasted like they heated up the food from the ’50’s.  I was not a fan, but the company and discussion we had was worth it.  I love seeing Darryl and Wyn Ihi guys!)  And then Kristin and I dropped the boys off for a meeting and went back to the city to get relax and get ready before their show that night.

Back at the college the show started off with the first screening of the finished music video.  It looks so great I wish you could see it!  Then HTV played a wicked set including 3 new songs, Look Ma No Head (below), Downfall and Deathmaster Snitch.  There were a whole bunch of friends and family out at the show and we had a great time.

Tonya & Rhianne

On Nov 25 Krista and I got on the Go Train to meet Tonya in Pickering for  mid-week girls night out to see Hail The Villain play at the Red Dog in Peterborough.  It always makes me feel a little anxious when I go there.  Lots of good times happened when I lived in Ptbo, but lots of bad times happened as well.  As soon as we hit Tapley 1/4 Line the anxiety set in.  It’s so nice to see my friends that still live there, but I always feel like I have to look over my shoulder in case someone sketchy shows up.

We went straight to Rhi’s to see Lyla and Tommy and she made Salmon for dinner.  I tried really hard to eat it but I just can’t do fish.  Then we took some travellers of wine for he walk down to Splinkys (can’t remember the real name but that’s what I was calling it) to meet up with some of our friends.

Lyall showed up for a drink and I was pretty happy about it.  Lyall is one of my all-time favourite people and we’ve had some pretty interesting times over the years.  You are one of few people I know that look good with a big beard.

Randomly enough a magician named Luke Farley was at the bar.  I met him at my sisters You Might As Well Live after party HERE back in August and he recognized me, even with the pink hair.  He was showing us some pretty awesome card tricks and even taught us how to do one.

Yay!  Brienne and Danielle showed up to say hi and have a few drinks.  I don’t get to see B as much as I like and I kept getting happier and happier the more people I ran into.

Brienne’s boyfriend Paul is way bigger than all of us.  He can play a mean guitar and we have been known to break out into Bon Jovi songs while drinking.  So happy to see you guys!

Hail the Villain didn’t end up playing til about midnight and we were all a little ridiculous at this point.  They played a good show and I ran into one of my old friends Dan at the bar.  We did a Jager shot and it was my first one in over a year.  I took it like a champ and didn’t get retarded or hungover from it.  Is Jager back in my shot repetoire?

This proves that we all made it to the show.  We were definitely not drunk by this point.  hahaha.  I love you ladies and thanks for such a great night!

Joe the Villain

I’m super excited to go to see Hail The Villain tonight in Hamilton at The Casbah.  I haven’t seen them play since LA I think?  Weird.  And then on Wednesday I’m going to Peterborough to hang with The Ladies and see them play again!  I absolutely cannot wait to go out with the girls!

Drew rockin’ the Metropia shirt.  Funny fact.  My sister Kristin was on Metropia and they needed a band to play in one of the scenes.  My sister had heard this really awesome band at Jazz Fest so she referred them to the producers.  That band was DWW, before our brother was in it.  Small world.

This is one of my favourite dresses and I’ve always worn it all black.  Changing it up with a yellow belt made it my Villain dress.

Bryan is awesome.  He always sounds great at shows and he killed the new songs.

Joe’s guitar solos will melt your face off.  Trust me.

It’s always hard to get a good photo of Drew.  He moves around so much I always get a blur.

After this Chad told me I wanted more drinks and he told me I didn’t need any.  Then I said I wasn’t even drunk and tripped  and almost fell.  Time to go back to the hotel and goodnight!

into this.  I know.  It’s way too much but what if I feel like wearing something else?  I love Betsey Johnson and bought the red and black bags for myself for my birthday.  Every girl should have a good set of luggage.

Luckily I decided to drink a bottle of wine while I packed so I could get some sleep.  I set my alarm for 2am cause Liam (HTV’s manager) was picking me up at 3am and we were driving to the airport.  My phone rang at 2:50am and it was Liam saying he was almost at my house.  And I was still sleeping.  I’m ridiculous.  I wasn’t hungover when I woke up, cause  I was still a little buzzed.  This is how I felt.

My first plane was so freaking small.  I couldn’t belive it.  From Buffalo to Chicago.  On the way home from Washington to Buffalo we were on another small plane and had to walk out onto the tarmack and board up the steps from the airplane.  I was not a fan of how small and loud these two planes were.

See.  I seat on the right and two on the left.  Most carry on bags don’t fit in the overhead storage or under the seat and they have a bag valet service.  So weird.

I started to feel hungover on this flight and it sucked.  I totally threw up in the bathroom.  I’m such an ass.

And then here’s getting close to landing in LA.  I kept taking pictures and the guy in the window seat would squish himself back to get out of the frame.  It was funny and nice of him cause I took a bunch.  I was so excited to get to LA.

When I landed I had to meet up with the other four people who were travelling on seperate flights.  Darryl, Victor, Krystina and Liam.  I just wanted to get out of there and change into some non-travelling clothes.  We ended up leaving before Victor landed cause his plane was an hour later than all of ours.

Our hotel was The Orlando at 3rd and Orlando.  It was really nice and we got it on Hotwire for almost $100 cheaper than the day rate.  I’ve never used Hotwire before but I’m def going to use it in future.  I can’t believe how cheap it was.  The only drawback is that you don’t know where you’re booking until you accept.

I need a King size bed.  Chad and I both slept sprawled out and didn’t even touch each other.  I could even sleep sideways on this bed and it would still be long enough.  So comfortable.

This couch turned into the clothes couch.  I had my stuff everywhere!  Our view kinda sucked.  You looked out onto an airconditioner and then could see a bit of the city, but the room was so nice.

It’s amazing how much more connected we can be, compared to last year when he was on tour.  We could only text or talk on the phone every once it a while but this year we have so many more options.  With our Blackberry’s we can BBM, we video chat with G-chat, talk on the phone when we can, and now I can see where he is on a map.  I still miss him the same, but it makes me feel closer that we can be so connected.

This is Darryl, he’s a friend and produced the HTV album Population Declining.  This is his playoff beard.  It’s pretty white trash and for some reason I secretly love it.  haha

It was very hard to get a good shot inside.  I have yet to figure out all the tricks to my camera so until I do here are blurry show shots.

You can tell where my focus is…. I always stand on Chad’s side of the stage and usually in the back.  Sometimes he sees me and gives me a nod.  I love it!

Julie and Kamil and another friend of theirs came out.  He was taking the picture and wasn’t sure if the camera was working.  This is my unsure face.
