Show and Tell: Feb 26/10

We finally got winter in Toronto and have about 3 inches of snow.  It made for an interesting time last night, trying to walk around in the snow with a freshly tattooed leg, and getting a cab was almost out of the question.  Luckily Chad loves to come and pick me up from events :)   Tonight I’m going to another fun party with Ms. Currybomb, the Toronto Cat Rescure Furball.  Do you have any fun plans for the weekend?

Have a safe and fun weekend and make sure you take care driving in our winter weather.

Tattoos & Celebrity Ping Pong

That’s what my afternoon and evening will consist of today.  I’m going to get tattooed by a good friend of mine Steve at Adrenaline Tattoos in Toronto.  I’m pretty excited and a little nervous.  It’s been 4 or 5 years since I got tattooed last, the stars on my chest done by Paul, and I always feel a little scared going in.

Afterwards I’ll be heading to the Cabbie on the Street Celebrity Ping Pong Tournament.  Thanks to Casie for posting the info on her blog this morning. It’s really interesting that I get most of my info & news from blogs & twitter.  I hadn’t even heard about the Ping Pong tourney until today.

I’ve got to go dye my hair now for maximum pinkness.  Hope you have a great day and if you’re out at the tourney tonight come and say hi!

Notable TV’s Nuit D’Azure

Last Thursday night I was invited  to Notable TV’s exclusive event, Nuit D’Azure, at the Annex Loft House.  I went with Casie & her friends and lucky us got chauffeured to the event :)   The guest-list was made up of Toronto’s industry leaders, media and tastemakers and I got to meet some really interesting people.  I’m loving the vibe of the events I’ve been going to lately and this one was no exception.

I caught them off guard. Sorry officer :)

The Food Dudes

The night had a few of my favourite things: complimentary drinks, amazing catering by The Food Dudes (the beet bruschetta was amazing), Teekis sandals for the ladies, and a really interesting group of people.

Teeksi Sandals for the ladies. Love the pinky ones

Me & Sean

Sean made a few videos of the evening and I just happen to be in them.  Hot Babes Tweeing is below and click here for the “Joey Jeremiah” conversation.

One of my favourite people, Christina, made it out to the event as well. I’m glad you could make it!  Not bad for two farm girls :)

Thank you to Julian and the Notable TV staff for a great party.  I will definitely be at the next one.

HaiHaiTO Fundraiser

On Thursday Feb. 11 I went to the #haihaiTO Haiti Fundraiser  at The Courthouse (thanks Sean!).  It was a really fun night and I met some cool new people and lots of Tweeps IRL.  It was kind of surreal to be in a room where I recognized people from following them and everyone was so happy and friendly.  I smiled and said hi all night long.  I was also surprised at how many people knew who I was from Twitter.  I guess pink hair does stand out.  I bumped into Breanna at coat check (yes, I checked my coat it) and she is one of my new favourite people.  Her sister came with her and she was super nice too.  I’m pretty bad with names the first time I meet people and I completely forgot hers.  They used ’sister power’ to win a yellow Flip camera.  I should’ve brought my sister along, cause nothing beats sisters :)

One of these was a winner!

Everyone was in a party mood and the dance floor was the place to be.  The DJ was spinning 90’s hip hop and Top 40 tunes and it felt like high school dances, but way cooler and without having to sneak the alcohol.  I haven’t been out dancing in a long time and the whole night was such fun.

Every photo I have of Sheldon his eyes are closed.

Where did this mask come from?

Best dressed of the night.

You can see we left the event with our jackets, purses and Breanna with her prize!  I want a Flip so bad and a yellow one will make my day.  We’re gonna have to make a video together with your new one :)

I had a great night and it was fun to meet so many awesome new people.  I can’t wait for the next meetup.
